Miss World's most successful countries

Although by its very nature Miss World can potentially be won by a contestant from anywhere in the world, there are some countries, and continents, that have enjoyed success more regularly then others.

As you will see from this table India, the UK and the US have had more of the pie than other countries, but this may be a feature that begins to change as economic climates and burgeoning economies begin to influence the outcome.

* Miss World 1974 Helen Mogan, who represented the UK, resigned four days after winning the trophy when it was discovered that she had an 18 month old son. This is the only time a reigning Miss World has resigned.
