This year’s Big Brother will centre around the “culture clash of modern Britain”.
BB Bosses revealed the theme The United Kingdom of Big Brother… and everyone is welcome – along with a new eye for the civilian version of the reality TV show, which will start in June.
The multicoloured Union Jack image features graphics representing the UK, such as tea pots, CCTV cameras and a red telephone box.
A spokesman for Channel 5 said: “Standby for a very British summer of contrasts, conflicts and collaboration.
“At a time of political upheaval and tough questions about unity in the UK, Big Brother brings you an alternative look at Britain.
“The first taste is revealed today with the new Big Brother eye, formed from a multi-coloured Union Jack flag, featuring a patchwork of eclectic images representing modern Britain.”
Emma Willis (above) will be back to host the grand live launch, which will see a “highly anticipated selection of housemates enter the iconic house”.
Viewers can look forward to “a whole new series of tasks, twists and surprises to bond, divide and entertain the housemates and viewers alike.”
Big Brother’s Bit On the Side also returns weeknights with Rylan Clark-Neal (above) who will welcome a variety of celebrity panellists, talking heads and an audience of BB fans to debate hot topics, reveal exclusives and go behind the scenes of the main show.
